Using Chios mastic
Chios mastic is a resin harvested from the mastic tree on the Greek island of Chios. Sold as grains, it is burned on a glowing charcoal or in a resin burner; the product page states the sachet weight and grain size.
Place a few grains at a time on the charcoal, in a heat-resistant bowl set on a stable surface. Ventilate the room during and after burning and keep the resin in its closed sachet, away from heat.
Mastic pairs well with other resins from the shop, such as frankincense or benzoin, to compose your own blends. Plan for charcoal tablets and a resin burner, available in the accessories category.
